There is parking in front and behind the white barn at the top of the driveway. Occasionally, the weather can cause part of our driveway to be less than desirable for small cars to pass. If this happens, you may park off the road at our lower grey barn and walk up. Please ensure you are not blocking other vehicles or the driveway.

Someone is typically available to greet you, however, if we are with another customer, or on the Farm, please notify our staff of your arrival. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and rewarding experience for both rider and horse, riders do not get to choose their horse.
Just like people, every horse is unique. It’s important for us to carefully match each rider with the best horse based on factors such as skill level, size, temperament, and discipline requirements.

Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather, and there may be times when we need to reschedule lessons due to inclement conditions.
Here’s how we handle it:
Advance cancellations: Weather conditions at Black Creek Hill Farms can be very different from those in your area, so we recommend contacting us directly if you're unsure about conditions on the day of your visit. If the weather at the farm is unsafe for scheduled activities, we will do our best to contact you in advance and reschedule.
Sudden weather changes: If the weather changes suddenly during or before your visit, we may pause or stop the activity for safety reasons and reschedule for another day.
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding as we work with nature’s unpredictability.

At Black Creek Hill Farms, our animals absolutely LOVE getting treats! Apples and carrots are wonderful options to share with them. However, we kindly ask that you check with a volunteer or staff member before feeding treats. Some of our horses are eager for treats anytime, but others have specific medical or dietary restrictions that need to be carefully managed and other’s may still be learning how to take food from people politely.
Your thoughtfulness helps ensure the health and happiness of every horse in our care!

At Black Creek Hill Farms, we’re thrilled to share our friendly farm animals with our riders and families! Most of our animals love visitors, but here are a few guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:
Rabbits: Can be gently petted inside their cages, with staff approval. They can not be picked up or removed.
Female goats: Enjoy being petted over the fence.
Chickens, geese, and ducks: Can be petted through the fence, but please be cautious—they may peck.
Male goat buck "Cowboy": Please do not approach Cowboy for safety reasons. He’s penned with our pot-bellied pig, Hamlet, and resides within an electric fence. Cowboy can be a bit “spicy” and is known to head-butt!
Additionally, a volunteer or staff member must be present for anyone to enter animal enclosures. Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your cooperation!
